Privacy Policy

At KnowSolar.com, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to get your information removed.

1. Information We Collect

• Personal information: name, email address, phone number, property address, utility account details you choose to share, and any other information you send through our forms or scheduling tools.
• Property information: roof details, system details, photos you upload, and related notes you give us for a quote or service request.
• Usage data: browser and device type, IP address, pages visited, time on page, referring source, and other analytical data.
• Tracking technologies: cookies, pixels, and similar tools used to measure traffic and ad performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve our services
• Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations
• Prepare quotes and coordinate work with installation or service partners
• Send updates and marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time
• Analyze behavior to improve the website and advertising
• Comply with legal obligations

3. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

• Installation and service partners. KnowSolar is a broker, not an installer. When you request a quote or service, we share the details needed to price and perform the work with vetted partners, under the consent shown on the form you submitted. Partners receive the minimum needed for that job.
• Service providers who help us run the website, send email or text messages, or deliver our services.
• Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, to serve relevant ads and measure performance.
• Legal authorities when required by law.

4. Cookies and Third-Party Tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, including third-party tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, to collect data for analytics and advertising. These tools may track your behavior across websites. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings or Meta Ad Preferences.

5. Your Choices

• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of marketing messages by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us directly

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
